"X" war eine prägende 77er Los Angeles Punk, die mit Songs wie insbesonderemit Songs wie " I Must Not Think Bad Thoughts", "The New World", oder "Breathless"  Kultstatus erreichte und sich in der Punk-History verewigten, weil das Album tatsächlich von "the Doors" Mit-Gründer Ray Manzarek produziert wurde. Kein Hippie-Zeugs mehr, stattdessen reiht sich die Scheibe in die Ära von Iggy / Stooges bis Ramones perfekt ein.
