… When, as a German W in the winter of 1981, someone brought a band from the realm of the dead to life in order to explore the dark side of his soul and his love for B-movies, no one could have guessed that THE CURSE, with its minimalist, disharmonic chords and dark lyrics, would become an icon of the German gothic scene. The band managed to establish its own unique style with its B-movie music and became a pioneer of the German gothic scene and horror punk, long before these terms even existed.
