Ready to take our streets back? Kill the Colossi (often abbreviated to KTC) are probably one of the most exciting new bands from England, and their (initially self-released) debut CD, Brace for Impact, immediately caught worldwide attention in the scene two years ago! (Now available on vinyl from Sunny Bastards.)

No wonder – the aggressive mix of “direct-in-your-face” Oi! shouters and catchy street-punk melodies, framed by fat guitar sounds and well-placed singalongs, blows everything away. Comparisons to heavyweights like Lion’s Law quickly started making the rounds. Ox Magazine rightly wrote: “KILL THE COLOSSI, along with THE CHISEL, are probably the best English Oi! punk combo right now.” Even the metal scene took notice (Rock Hard 9/10), and the band earned an invitation to the Kuhzi Festival.
Now their 2nd album, Roses & Riot Shields, is out and impressively continues the path of Kill The Colossi:
Catchy and powerful UK street-punk/Oi! with sophisticated songwriting and that “certain something” that is hard to put into words but can be felt deeply in the heart!
Ten new songs where common clichés and worn-out stereotypes are nowhere to be found.
Instead, there are socially critical lyrics (Empire of Dirt, Scarcity), angry assessments of society’s distorted reflection (Working the Weak), and all that modern crap that manipulates and influences (Under the Influencer, Legal High). Then, with Boots Don’t Fit, we get a deeply moving anthem that, far from the usual, often shallow anti-racism statements, cuts much deeper and couldn’t be clearer!
